Where it all started...

Since this is my first blog, and I am at a complete loss as to where I should being or what I should be blogging about, I will start with where I'm from.

I was born in the small town of Feyodosia in Crimea, Ukraine. Though I lived there till I was 5, before moving to the States, my greatest impact was living there for a year at 16. When I was back, I lived in Yalta, also in Crimea, for about 8 months. Yalta is also famous historically for the Yalta Conference that occured during World War 2, and is a huge tourist spot for Eastern Europeaners during the hot summer months.
My favorite time of year was always summer and summer in Yalta meant hot weather (up to 110 F) that lead to going to the beach every day. The beaches are filled with people of all sizes wearing as little clothing as possible. Speedos are a staple in the male wardrobe and thong bottoms are a staple in the female wardrobe on the beach. And some choose the option to go completely nude. The younger crowd, starting from around 15 years old usually are having a few beers with chips, or dried fish or dried squid.
The water is warm and shallow as well. It also hosts THOUSANDS of jelly fish, depending on the time of day you're swimming as well as the location. And among the rocks you're sure to find crabs.
Though I couldn't be any happier to be back home, I always miss going to the beach during those summer days with my niece and meeting all of the interesting people from all around.
